In-school Tuition &
Intervention Teaching

In-school Tuition

More and more frequently, we are approached by headteachers and school leaders requesting additional support for their mathematics students. As an independent maths tutor, Mr Coach has extensive experience in successful one-to-one tuition and small group intervention sessions specifically tailored to rapidly raise the attainment of underperforming KS4 and KS5 students.

A visiting tutor can effectively and efficiently support your maths department in closing the skills and knowledge gap of targeted students by providing teaching and coaching outside of the main classroom. We can also contribute to activities of the wider student body e.g. within a specific class or year group.

We are equally comfortable in timetabled lessons and after-school tuition sessions, using intervention rooms or small classrooms dedicated to children requiring additional support.

Intervention Teaching

As an experienced intervention teacher, Mr Coach can assist students who are experiencing difficulties within the classroom. Many students have special educational (academic, social, or behavioural) needs and an intervention teaching programme provides the expertise and support students need to reach their potential.

We can work with parents and teachers to design and implement individualised plans that best fit the child’s situation.

Mr Coach also supports EAL students, especially Polish and Russian speakers, who struggle to access the curriculum due to insufficient knowledge of English. A language barrier can be a big source of frustration and become a significant obstacle to learning.

Our values and approach to learning mean we create a positive, inspirational, and engaging learning environment for learning which is vital for academic and personal success.
